Danny and Nadine
Nadine
and Danny, from famous Emelgem beer pub Kroegske, are proud
to present their first housebeer.
On Friday 14 April 2006, the first brew of Nadine and Danny
has been presented at Kroegske.
The inducement: The 10th. anniversary of Kroegske.
Kroegbier "Goud" 6.6
vol%
The
objective was not to make another labelbeer or a commercial
sweet beer by a big brewery, but a unique, original and very
special beer, brewed by themselves !
Nadine
and Danny have attended with success the brewing course, held
by brewmaster Glenn Castelein from Picobrewery
Alvinne in Ingelmunster.
As hobbybrewers, some 15 liter batches were produced for own
consumption.
As result of a successfully tasting test brew, the idea arised
to make this beer - with its self-developed recipe - in much
bigger quantities.
The result: The Housebeer "Kroegbier Goud".
Left to right: Glenn Castelein
(Alvinne),
Danny, Nadine, Davy Spiessens (Alvinne)
The
only possibility to achieve this wonderful idea was to use
the Picobrewery Alvinne brewing equipment, ofcourse with supervision
of Davy Spiessens and Glenn Castelein, the two Alvinne brewers.
The
result is sublime.
It has become a gold-blond bitter beer, with a full mellow
malty taste, and aromatised with East Kent Goldings hops for
its bitter taste, finished with Saaz hops for its final touch.
The Kroegbier Goud has a deep bitter aftertaste and has become
a wonderful sessionbeer at 6.6 vol%.
For the experts: Color value 12 EBC, Bitterness units 40 EBU.
