new
creation invented by Nadine & Danny: Kroegbier Super.
This beer is again brewed in Heule at Picobrewery Alvinne
with original recipe from Nadine & Danny.
The word Super is referring towards our Belgian beer history,
in the time when the word SUPER was used in alot of beer names.
Interesting to know is that the primary fermentation has been
achieved with American imported Wyeast Rodenbach yeast.
For those who think to expect some kind of Rodenbach clone,
nothing is as such.
Indeed, there's that subtile lacto-acid touch, but apart from
that, nothing reminds of Rodenbach Oud Bruin.
This beer is more leaning towards abbey or brown Trappist
ale.
Soft, candi sugar sweet, malty sweet, perfect in balance with
the rich use of fresh hops.
Quite dark beer with a lot of roast flavors and pleasant flowery
sensations in the nose and mouth.
This beer is still 9 vol% strong, so it has to be taken with
care.
Available from 1 January 2008.
Now, it's only waiting for the KroegbierTripel, which will
be releases shortly on 1 February 2008 !
